    Home Sweet Home
Home sweet home! After spending 562 days in various hospitals spread across three states I'm finally home :-) A big thanks to all of those who believed in me, encouraged me, prayed for me, visited, sent cards, and sent notes through various social media Outlets. My greatest gratitude goes to my wife Michelle who has been there from the very beginning and has not left my side. It is so great to be home. I am in the process of writing the next chapter which I hope will include aggressive physical

    January 2018 Update
Happy 2018 to everyone! I am very happy to announce a number of challenges by friends and family members but by no means am I more proud of my mom for her challenge to serve elderly people communion on Mondays :-) I am also thrilled to post the following video which recaps my 2017 and some of the progress I’ve made. I could not have done this without my family and friends. Thank you all! I am happy to let you know that after posting the video on my professional networking site LinkedIn is been

Few ginormous stretch goals and I need your help in accomplishing these...
It's been awhile since my last update and I've been busy in physical and occupational therapy. The good news is I continue to progress while using the Walker and I'm strengthening the muscles needed in my legs and hips. I was also really happy to see that Pfizer headquarters in New York City has put up a picture of me and a quote showing how much one of their drugs has helped with my nerve pain. I have to give all the credit in the world to my sister Kristen who works there  And now for some

75 Friends Compete in the Ultimate Challenge
Life in Danvers has been fantastic! I have made more gains over these past eight weeks that many of the months combined in other places. For this, progress does not come without a price as there have been a few times that I failed completely. One such time was this past Thursday when I literally could not do anything in physical therapy - my body ached I could not stand up, I could not transfer from my wheelchair to the mat in the therapy gym. As you can imagine I started thinking that maybe

    Challenge Awesomeness
I want to take a few minutes to thank all of those who are so amazing to have challenged themselves to do something above and beyond what they thought was possible. As I go through my own challenge with daily physical therapy and occupational therapy I am inspired by those who have worked hard to achieve their own goals. This gets me through the pain and the grueling sessions that I have daily and I can’t thank you enough for thinking of me while you complete your own challenges. A special

"Inspiration from One Ignites Inspiration in Another"
When we setup the site never did I think that I would be so touched or so inspired by a single story but I have by what you will read below from Chris Kealey.    A Story about a Mile by Chris Kealey “Did you hear that a plane crashed into one of the World Trade Center Towers?” read the email from my sister as I sat at work on September 11th 2001. I was just shy of turning 34 years old on September 13th. And so began a journey of a track, a watch and a goal. It was a

    Moving On
After leaving Crotched Mountain in New Hampshire I was very fortunate to spend time at Gaylord Specialty Hospital in Wallingford Connecticut. My stay there was six weeks and I met some of the most amazing doctors, nurses, physicians’ assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists and nurses’ aides. Without them I don’t think what you are about to read below would’ve been possible and I am very thankful for their patience and hard work. I would also like to give a shout out to all of

    Kiteboarders Rock
I’d like to take a few minutes to thank the many people who have helped me throughout this journey, family, friends and complete strangers have all come through and given me positive energy and prayers to get better. One thing really stood out and touched my heart and that’s three videos that were sent to me by professional kite boarders competing in Cape Town South Africa they are my idols especially Ruben Lenten who himself battled cancer two years ago and came back to show his resiliency.
